There are so many things to do in and around Saigon! I'm a big foodie, so my favorite thing to do is try new restaurants. There are so many different types of cuisine here and it's not just pho and banh mi. There are amazing French, Italian, Indian, and Chinese restaurants all over the city.

Another thing that's awesome about Saigon is the nightlife. I love going out for drinks with friends after work (or even during work. it's not uncommon for people here). The whole city is full of street food stalls and bars, so you can always get something delicious when you're out late. For those who visited Saigon, what are your favorite things to do in and around Saigon?

I liked visiting the Reunification Palace. It looks so much better in person. I have seen so many pictures of it prior to going. I have only been once but want to go again. I have gone to the Binh Than Market several times though and LOVE IT. They also have some of the best coffee shops I have ever been to. A lot to enjoy in Saigon!

I enjoy the markets and the cafes the most. When I am there, I make it a point to just take a full day and do nothing but shopping the markets and enjoying the array of local cafes in the area. The nigh life is pretty fun too. I went to a few comedy clubs whilst there before and had a blast. Found some other English speakers too.

I love the markets and the restaurants. I very much love to shop and eat when I go on vacation so that is right up my ally. I tend to go sight seeing away from the city.

Eating! Some of my favorite dishes have come from this area. I can't remember the name of this restaurant, I would know it if I seen it but they had the best pho I ever had!

I like to shop and eat. That is mostly what I do when I vacation anywhere. I will go sightseeing and what not but the bulk of what I enjoy is the food and the shops, especially in Vietnam!

I have been in Saigon several times and have decided never to put my feet in there any longer. The scooter drivers are absolutely insane ! They are not too good where I live (Hanoi), but, down there, they obviously prefer to have an accident in order to save some precious seconds !!! Besides, apart from some temples and pagodas, what is there exceptional to see comparable with Old Hanoi ???? For me, it has become only the gate to the delta if I cannot fly to Can Tho

I generally enjoy just walking around and watching people. I know it sounds lame but I love to take in a culture and a new area by seeing what is around me and being observant. So I would get something to eat and find a place to sit outdoors and just watching the world happen.
