Do fans care more about their idol's private life than their projects?

The online community is now putting pressure on the artist world. I think this is right and wrong.

Idols are always the goal that children aim for. They change their clothes, hairstyles and whatever they can to look like their idols. So what happens if their idols break the law? I think we should condemn and boycott idols who have a bad way of life. Maybe stop caring about their projects and products or ask for an apology and a change in lifestyle. Sometimes I feel sorry for Idols. They do not have a private life like ordinary people, must always keep in shape and skin. When they have a scandal, we should see them change and forgive. Do not attack them and their families. We all make mistakes, right?

This article is based on my personal opinion. Let me know your views. Thanks for reading!

I never understood idol worship. I think there is a difference between being a fan of someone and idolizing them. I enjoy people's work for what it is. I don't need to hear about their private life or have bad things pointed out to me. These people are artists and the main focus should be their art.

I care to the extent I would a distant relative. It is nice to know little tidbits about their private life but I don't need to know all the details. I am a fan for the music.

I want to know more about projects, upcoming albums, songs, roles, everything. I don't much care for the private side. I feel they are entitled to have their privacy. Just because they are famous, it doesn't make them any less human!

@danggang In my opinion, the entertainment industry in Korea is very complicated about celebrity privacy. Many idols have committed suicide because of pressure.
