I said 2 years. I think it is important to make sure your group has chemistry as well as have formed friendships. You don't want to debut only to find yourself not agreeing with someone in the group or worse yet, there is no chemistry at all!
I had thought that most groups form when they are young and soon as they are old enough to sign on with a label, they do and then they start working on music for their album.
@boo_chan I am wondering this as well. I knew there was some prep time for most groups but I don't know what is considered standard or normal. It is not how it is in other places of the world.
Many start out young and need to get their mistakes out of the way. They also need to learn about the industry and know they are representing an entire nation as a public figure. This can be stressful and take time.
I am not sure what the average is these days but it seems most do a minimum of 3 years as they form and don't actually release music right away, not until a few years later.
I am really not sure. I didn't know they trained before debuting if I am being honest. I thought they formed a group, make songs, a label signed them, and then they started releasing music under said label.
