And recently, Vietnamese audience has been surprised by the comeback of “Có Chàng Trai Viết Lên Cây” in the teaser of Mắt Biếc. This song has become more popular because of the soft melody and emotional vocals of Phan Mạnh Quỳnh.

Sharing with the audience, Phan Mạnh Quỳnh said that he changed a little bit of the lyrics of the original version of this song to make it more suitable with the context of Mắt Biếc.

Mắt Biếc is a movie directed by Victor Vũ – a talented director behind the successes of “Tôi Thấy Hoa Vàng Trên Cỏ Xanh” (I see the yellow flowers on the green grass) in 2015 and “Người Bất Tử” (Immortals human) in 2018. In this year, he decided to make a film about another novel of author Nguyễn Nhật Ánh – Mắt Biếc. He said that the first time he listened to “Có Chàng Trai Viết Lên Cây”, he felt that song is made for the love story of Mắt Biếc – a sad story called: “The first love for a while is thought to be in a lifetime” (Vietnamese: Tình đầu một thời cứ ngỡ một đời). Thus, he persuaded Phan Mạnh Quỳnh to write some other songs for this film. Beside “Có Chàng Trai Viết Lên Cây”, Phan Mạnh Quỳnh composed three more songs for Mắt Biếc. These songs are expected to express the affection of characters in this film successfully.
