I am starting a fund or "savings" for travel expenses. I know without actually putting money aside, it will be a long awhile before I am able to return to Vietnam. With prices going up left, right, and center - I really have to plan things out and budget.
Is anyone else doing that here? Do you have any tips?
Yeah, I am. I have a good amount saved already but I always make a point to have extra spending cash as well. Since I will be having to take time off work and not getting paid for it, I have to save so I have money for things when I return as well as money to cover my animals being looked after.
I am always saving. It seems like my money is tighter than ever unfortunately. I am hoping things turn around and the cost of everything comes down cause travel is the first thing to go when I can't afford things. 
I saved up a few thousand dollars to travel to Vietnam, but an emergency happened and it's also tax season. I think it will empty my travel savings and I'll have to move back my trip to Vietnam a few months.
I ended up spending my travel money over Christmas so I am back to saving again which kind of sucks! I am hoping I will get to take a trip next year.
I am always saving for travel. I tend to end up dipping into it though, especially more so now with the state of the economy. I have enough saved to go on a trip to Vietnam but I am waiting because I may end up needing the money for something else.
I have to save for travel or I will not be able to afford it. I think most people are like this. I always have a fund that I add to, even if I do not go anywhere that year, it is extra money I have just in case.

I feel like when I get close to having enough, I end up needing to buy or repair something. I am planning for a trip this November though!
Hmm, interesting topic! I'm curious, where's everyone planning to travel to?
@LeShin I am wanting to go back to Vietnam. That is why I am on the forum. I do go other places but in terms of income, Vietnam is the most affordable place for me to go if I don't stay local.
