I know it isn't something everywhere in the world celebrates. I never really did even though it is something people around here do. I remember boys in school buying roses and whatnot. I always thought it was cheesy.
I can't say I ever have. I think it was something people did when I was growing up but I really don't remember. That may have been a different holiday.
No. There was another holiday that I celebrated when I was young. I can't remember what it is called anymore. I think it took place in September or October. It was a similar thing but not so much about gift giving.
I did a few times but I don't go out of my way to celebrate it. I always felt like it was nothing but a marketing thing. Like a way to get more people spending money.
I don't even know what day it is on. I just know it is in February. lol
I tend to only celebrate bigger holidays, not standard calendar holidays like this one.
Yes and no. It depends. When I am with someone, if they want to celebrate we do, if not we don't. I think it is silly to just assume you have to do it. It should be something both people want to do.
The ones who do not celebrate are VERY wrong, it is one of the most pleasant occasions in a life. By the way, do you know who Valentine was and why he became a Saint ?
I did when I was younger. I can't say the last time I did. It was never a holiday I ever focused on. I think anniversaries are more important.
Well, apparently, nobody wants to know about Valentin. Here it is : He was a catholic priest. The anti-catholic emperor Constantin forbade priests to marry couples; Valentin did it anyway and was executed. That is why he was nominated é Saint.
I celebrate it when I am in a relationship but nothing over the top. Usually it is just a dinner and flowers thing. I know some people go over the top with it. I don't like all that. A dinner and roses is more than enough.
