It depends on the event and what I am doing. I am okay with larger crowds but I prefer to be around fewer people. Like if I can get away to my own space/corner of a crowded event, I am just fine but too many people around me and my head starts spinning! I don't do very well in heavily crowded areas.
I am very social. I can be entertained and talking to strangers all day. My mother used to tell me that I would just go up to people while shopping and start talking to them about what they are buying (or selling). I enjoy concerts, clubs, and other social gatherings where crowds are big!

Even small crowds. People talking over each other has somehow become triggering for me.
I will choose small ones because then I can freely immerse myself in my own world like listening to music, reading books☺️☺️
