It's a great list, but I think the one thing that's missing is a classic Vietnam tour. You know, the kind of thing you can book through any travel agency and have ready to go in just a few weeks? I think that would be a great addition!

I'm a huge fan of Vietnam, and I've been there several times. My favorite way to experience it is definitely the traditional way: by riding a scooter on the back roads. You can see so much more that way, and you really get to interact with the people in a way that you can't if you're just driving through in an air-conditioned car.

I also love going on a Buddhist pilgrimage! It's such an immersive experience, and it really gets you in touch with your spirituality. I know that sounds cheesy, but if you're looking for something more than just sightseeing, this is a great option!

And lastly, if you're looking for something off-the-beaten-path, try renting a boat and exploring some of the smaller islands off the coast of Vietnam. You'll meet some great people who live there and have access to some incredible food that most tourists don't get access to (for example: fresh squid!).

There are so many options, you really are spoiled for choice. This is the benefit mainly because of the location. Not every area or country allows for all these options because of the location and surrounding countries. Vietnam is truly one of a kind to me!

I think the most important thing to do when you're planning a trip is to take the time to really understand what you want out of it. I know that sounds like it would be obvious, but it's amazing how many people don't really think about what they want from their vacation, and then end up disappointed by not getting exactly what they were hoping for.

For example, I went on a trip to Vietnam with my family last year. We were all excited about the idea of going somewhere different and seeing all these beautiful places, but we weren't sure exactly what we wanted out of our trip. We ended up spending most of our time just wandering around Hanoi, which was okay. But if we'd been more clear about what we wanted from our vacation in advance, maybe we could have done some more exciting things and had more fun!

I have always wanted to do a cruise around Vietnam but I never actually got to do one. I have heard they are amazing and a lot of fun. I will have to see how much they cost and see if I can manage one on my next trip.
