I'm an expat in Vietnam, and I just wanted to say that this is SO helpful. I'm always looking for ways to save money when I travel, and the visa run was something I was always afraid of trying to do myself. Thank you so much!

Is a visa agent similar to an immigration lawyer? I have never heard of such a thing but maybe they are one in the same thing and that is just what we call it around here?

@douknowhat A visa agent is not the same as an immigration lawyer. While both can assist with visa-related matters, an immigration lawyer is trained and licensed to provide legal advice and represent clients in legal proceedings, whereas a visa agent typically focuses on visa applications and processing.

Visas are a pain. I'm glad to see that you're advising people how to do them right! I just wish Vietnam brought back their 90 day visas so I don't have to do a visa run every 30 days.

Very informative and easy to understand. I think any visa process is bound to come with stress and confusion so working with someone who knows the process goes a long way!

Wow, sounds like a lot of work! I guess I'll just stay in Vietnam forever then. Who needs to go on vacation anyway? All this planning and paperwork is too much for me.
