I would have been losing my mind if that was my kid! WOW! I am guessing the narrow opening slowed down the fall enough so he wasn't greatly injured. Poor kid!

I used to worry about having this happen to me because there was a broken sewer lid down the road and I have gone over it with my bike a few times. It was missing for almost 2 months as well and I was certain an accident would happen.

So did they end up rescuing him!? This sounds so terrible. It is hard to tell what concluded from the news clip. It sounds like they were not able to get him out as of the day that was posted :(

This is so sad :(

I remember seeing the thread hoping they would get him out. His poor family must be heartbroken. I can't imagine losing a child like this.

This is heartbreaking. I heard about it on Twitter when the news broke. I didn't realize there was a thread here for it. Lots of love and prayer was sent the family's way through Twitter and other social media.
