I really couldn't say. I don't follow it. I think it is popular but not as popular as other places around the world. It is likely simular to how the gaming scene was in the '80s in the US where it is only popular in smaller controlled groups.Â
I think the gaming scene is bigger than what was mentioned above. I see all sorts of people of all different ages into gaming these days, even in Vietnam. I think the stigma of gaming being a thing for "nerds" has long since passed.Â
There are plenty of gaming fans and groups. I think it will continue to blow up in the coming years. I know it may not seem as big as in Japan, China, or the US but it is getting there!

It’s getting more professional. League of Legends, pubg and mobile legends are really big games in Vietnam.
