Even if you were to buy the items yourself in the country and ship them home, you still end up paying a lot of money. I did this when I went to Japan and ended up paying over $100 in shipping.

The cost alone was reason enough for me to go. It is beautiful and I was able to do so much on a budget. I have been to other countries where spending what I did here would not have gotten me much!

@photastic I agree with this, 100%. People overlook these when going to a new area and they are missing out. You get to try a lot more food this way without spending a lot as they do samples. 

You can do micro-investing as well and it can work out for you but you have to know enough about investing for you to turn a profit in a matter for a few months.

I never liked iPhones but I may consider switching for this. I wonder if the Galaxy will get this as well? I mean that is the flagship I have been with for a good 6 years now.

@readysetgo I agree with this, 100%. There is so many different landscapes and depending on where you visit, it can look like an entirely different world. It is amazing.
